Local Upcycling with PÖFF: Giving Festival Banners a New Life

For the third year in a row, we are proud to collaborate with the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival (PÖFF) — one of the largest film festivals in Northern Europe — on a special upcycling project that brings together creativity, sustainability, and storytelling.

This year, our collaboration takes a new step forward. In addition to the UPMADE® certified T-shirts made from textile industry leftovers, we’ve created a new range of locally upcycled bags — each one unique and made right here in our studio, in Estonia.

The collection includes sports bags, backpacks, toiletry bags, and waist bags, all upcycled from PÖFF’s old promotional banners. These used materials now have a new life as functional and stylish souvenirs that carry the spirit and visual identity of the festival.

The idea behind this ongoing partnership is simple: to reduce waste and show that design and responsibility can go hand in hand. Each year, the merch from PÖFF’s campaign is transformed into next year’s souvenirs — turning the festival’s visual story into a tangible reminder of conscious choices.

For the sake of the planet, all products are made in limited quantities — because less can truly mean more.

For those attending the festival, PÖFF’s special Reet Aus collection will be available during the festival at selected information points:

  • Solaris Centre and Nordic Hotel Forum in Tallinn
  • Tartu Tasku PÖFF information centre

Celebrate PÖFF with us by supporting upcycling and proudly wearing your sustainable festival gear! More information from PÖFF web.
