AUS.SHIRT. Shirt is a choice. exhibition at Reet Aus studio

From 08 May to 07 June 2026, the Reet Aus Studio in Telliskivi Creative City will host the exhibition “AUS.SHIRT. Shirt is a Choice.”. An exhibition about T-shirts, but even more about the people, values, and conscious decisions behind them.

Every shirt tells a story.

The exhibition presents UP-SHIRTS designed by Reet Aus for companies, upcycled T-shirts that reflect the environmental choices made by clients and the messages they wish to communicate to the world. These are not simply work or team shirts, but visible statements about the kind of future we want to create.

All shirts on display are UPMADE® certified, meaning they are made from surplus fabrics left over from the garment industry and created according to circular design principles. Each shirt helps reduce textile waste while significantly lowering resource consumption.

Compared to a conventional T-shirt made from virgin fabric, every shirt displayed here saves on average:

  • 99% water
  • 91% energy
  • 92% CO₂ emissions

That is the reality.

A shirt is not merely a piece of clothing. It is a symbol that connects people, creates a sense of belonging, and strengthens team spirit. At the same time, it is also a way to show that you care and make conscious choices.

Every choice matters. Every choice leaves a trace.

DESIGN YOUR OWN UP-SHIRT

Visitors are also invited to take part in the exhibition experience themselves.

Sit down, grab a pencil, and design your own UP-SHIRT. Add your name and contact details to the sketch and leave it at the studio. One selected design will be produced for real.

An UP-SHIRT is not just a T-shirt — it is a solution.

Each shirt prevents approximately 150–200 grams of textile material from becoming waste. Your idea could be the next one helping to reduce the environmental impact of the textile industry and proving that design can be part of the solution.
