Production

The production of Reet Aus^TM garments is driven by ethics, transparency, humanity, and environmental-mindedness.

Using the industrial upcycling method UPMADE®, post-production leftovers (roll-ends and cutting leftovers) are circulated back into production within the same factory. The garments are produced in factories in Bangladesh and India. Their design takes the use of textile leftovers into consideration – the garments are designed with several cuts that give the brand its specialty and uniqueness.

The production cycle is transparent, showing the number of leftovers, gathering them together and putting this unused potential back into the production chain.

Upcycling helps to save on average the 18% of textiles that mass production manufacturers usually dispose of as waste, which is then taken to the landfill or burned.

Using UPMADE®, the number of saved resources (energy and water) and CO₂ emissions can be calculated. On average, each garment saves 75% water and 88% energy and generates 80% less CO₂.

Besides environmental issues, the production facilities meet laws and standards regarding working environment safety, hygiene and fair pay for workers and comply with the criteria of the Ethical Trading Initiative (ETI) and International Labour Organisation (ILO).
